In turns honky tonk, garage rock and bluesy, the Atlanta duo very much driven by the voice of Mattiel Brown has a new (third) album out this year that continues to impress. On The Run isn’t the obvious hit on Georgia Gothic, but it brings to mind solo Neko Case (never a bad thing) and it’s in the spirit of Mattiel’s earlier single Count Your Blessings.
